This DR-20E guitar was made in 1998 at the Tacoma custom shop, back in the days before Fender bought the company, and comes equipped with the original installed pickup. Reportly, the quality went downhill after Fender took over, so these Pre-Fender Tacoma’s are much sought after for their superior workmanship, playability and tone. The guitar has a solid spruce top with rosewood laminate sides and back. The guitar plays & sounds great, has low action and lots of resonance. Big sound out of these. Nice looks and playing. These Tacoma DR-20's are hard to come by and is the guitar is for you if you are in it for the sound. The tone is incredible, it projects well with nice sustain. This comes with a high quality, custom fitting hard shell case which may be original or an aftermarket. There are no markings on it identifying it.

This 1998 Tacoma DR-20E Acoustic Electric Dreadnought Guitar is a used item in VG+ condition. This guitar is generally in good shape. There is light general wear on the top of the body from pick marks and use. These are a couple of surface marks on the back of the body but they do not break the finish. It is "afflicted" with the air bubbles that are a known issue with the finish of these guitars. All mentioned is pictured. There is no neck or fret issues with minor wear on the low frets but no indents or concerns. Electronically, the guitar works as it should. You will receive this item well-packed in its hard case but without the original paperwork or packaging. Please contact this seller for additional information.
