Anne, Lady Selsdon reports her stay in an old country house in England, only to awake after midnight in a state of sickening terror confronted by a being “who knew neither pity or remorse.” Testimony from those who have been visited by beloved dogs or cats are also included, as well as encounters with more amorphous and frightening creatures.
